Title VI: Notification of Public Rights under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
Care-A-Van Transit, Inc. gives public notice of its policy to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VI requires that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any of Care-A-Van Transit, Inc. program or activity.
Any person that believes they been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin may file a complaint with Care-A-Van Transit, Inc., Carolina Brooks or Riverside County Transportation Commission, Monica Morales.
A signed, written complaint should be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination. If you could not reasonably be expected to know the act was discriminatory within the 180-day period, you have 60 days after you became aware to file your complaint.
You should include:

Your name, address and telephone number. If you are filing on behalf of another person, include their name, address, telephone number and your relationship to that person, and include your signature.

The name and address of the agency, firm or department you believe discriminated against you.

A description of how, why and when you believe you were discriminated against. Include as much background information as possible about the alleged acts.

The names of the individuals whom you allege discriminated against you, if you know them.

The names of any persons or witnesses, if known that can be contacted for additional information to support your allegations.
